This is a different way of reaching you, reader, and I hope you are not too put off or confused with the way in which I come to you. Its not the first of a month, it’s not a Bible Bonk, its not a Salvation on your Sunday titbit, its not a What I’ve been Watching/Reading/Listening to. It’s on a normal, run-of-the-mill Tuesday in which I write to you and that makes this all the more significant.
To avoid over-indulging on this post, I will tell you obviously what Acts 4:20 says, “For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” For too long, I’ve been pretending as though the Lord has not been speaking to me. We all do it. It’s often because we know what He is saying holds weight and we feel fear in trying to carry it all, but luckily Jesus tells us that His yoke is easy and burden light (Matthew 28-30). He can carry it and has carried it all for us (John 16:33).
What I needed to remember is that this page, Letters From the Train was born from speaking the things which I had seen and heard. As one of my ethos goes, I help people take the things that meet the eye to then travel and meet their heart, or rather profoundly in Christian terms I help them to think, and thus move, more in the spirit than in the flesh. By rejecting God’s voice and instruction, I have not been doing that.
Peter and John uttered this in Acts 4 when they were being persecuted for spreading the word of God and performing His miracles over people. It showed me that although I am not being overtly prosecuted for talking about Jesus, I am doing it to myself by keeping His words to myself and the world bound in my hands alone. The disciples gave such a simple answer which travels immensely. Jesus even says Himself that if we cannot believe Him for what He has said, believe His works (John 10:38). This is why even today, God still performs testimonies and miracles that cannot be done with the human hand, so that we all cannot but speak the things we’ve seen and heard. I am finally doing that today, and I am proud of myself for doing so and in complete gratitude to God for gracing me with the opportunity.
So, I will strive to speak to you all that I see and hear; from various topics within His living Word, to everyday occurrences which our culture take for granted, and intense revelations given to me by the Spirit. But above all, I will curate these pieces to reveal the goodness of God’s kingdom and majesty. Because that is all I see and hear.

Sarah, let Him use you.
